Challows and Childrey Hedgerow Planting Group – Sunday Dec 8th
Paul Barrow and I have been planning hedge planting for this coming winter along the south side of Childrey Way (roughly from the concrete blocks by the side of Silver Lane to Cornhill Farm) and a shorter stretch in East Challow.
We will have assistance from Oxfordshire Conservation Volunteers for this first stretch which will help but as this is 250 metres long any additional help would be appreciated, so please put Sunday Dec 8th in your diaries for the planting session.
We will need to get it marked out and holes drilled in advance so if you think you might be able to help with pre-drilling the holes with an auger please let us know. This is planned for Saturday Dec 7th.
If you think you can help in any way please get in touch.

PS Last year’s planting seems to be growing well helped by all that rain (clouds, silver lining etc). We have lost some plants (about 5 to 7%) and hope to replace them this season
