Landscaping Works at Village Hall

We are having the Village Hall grounds improved. A large area of the grass will be levelled and re turfed to provide a lawn, the gravel is being refreshed and slightly extended at the rear and a small area is being “tarmacked” with a soft playground surface to provide a play area. The plan is to replace the old basketball hoop that used to be there. There will be a bench and planting to one side.

We’ve been able to do the work due to a generous donation from the Collier Family in memory of their mother Marg Collier nee Lucas who lived in the cottages at Garlands Farm. They wanted to do something for the local community, that she loved being a part of, in her name. Once the work is completed we hope to hold an event to formally open it to the village.
